We read how “farthest from them is the power of preservation, whose place is taken by exaggeration, out-yelling, and mere blind screaming, in the wail of which one crows over oneself and deludes oneself in order to escape the hollowness of beings.” We then relate this “mask of true actuality” to some current events, such as Bezos’s all-female Blue Origin “astronauts,” Trump’s “activist investor” approach to Harvard, and how the anti-DEI crusade is the third great Civil Rights Movement in America.
