Ep 98: Taking the Leap

We conclude Part 3 of the book (The Interplay) and head into Part 4 (The Leap). We read about the necessity of distinction and uniqueness, aka hierarchy, that is necessary to open up being, the history of being that has led up to the need for the leap into beyng, and the disposition of diffidence as preparatory for the leap. We then discuss liberal aversion to criteria for citizenship, the maker/taker dynamic being the new master/slave relationship, and the ways in which being “a taker” are instrumental in anxiety formation.
